The Best Thanksgiving Deals in Hong Kong

Celebrate Thanksgiving this year with a tasty turkey meal.

Thanksgiving might be a North American tradition dating back hundreds of years, but our city’s welcoming the celebrations all the same with a host of festive feasts to commemorate the end of another successful harvest. The holiday falls on the fourth Thursday of November (that’s November 24 this year) for Americans (the Canadian version is in October). Remember to book your own turkey dinner at one of these venues:

Mandarin Oriental

Want to celebrate Thanksgiving at home with friends and family, but too lazy to do the cooking? Mandarin Oriental comes to the rescue with their take-away boxes at The Mandarin Cake Shop, where festive delicacies including turkey, stuffing, roasted pumpkin and various sides are all on offer. To wrap up the feast, treat yourselves to a piece of pumpkin pie, chestnut opera cake or salted butter pecan pie. Two days notice is required for all orders.

Liberty Exchange Kitchen & Bar

Renowned for its stylish design, casual comfort gourmet food as well as great services, this contemporary American restaurant is an ideal choice for young city slickers wanting to celebrate Turkey Day. A four-course meal will be served throughout Thanksgiving weekend, including traditional favorites such as turkey, chestnut with cheese, salmon with chorizo vinaigrette and pumpkin pie. To add that urban touch, complement the meal with a couple of yummy cocktails.

Ava Restaurant Slash Bar

Perched high on the 38th floor of Hotel Panorama, Ava is a newly opened restaurant that offers diners a classic yet cosmopolitan atmosphere with a stunning view. This year, Ava is putting a modern twist on the traditional Thanksgiving feast by re-packaging classics into innovative dishes. This festive meal includes baked potatoes with bacon foam, turkey with solid cranberry bars, ham with brown sugar, and Dijon mustard, and pumpkin agnolotti with beef. A glass of warm apple cider with a slice of baked pecan pie ends the evening on a high note.

If you’re looking for a trendy and upscale restaurant to spend Thanksgiving, Bloom will be your place this year. Known for its stylish design, elaborate cocktails, fresh and wide-ranged delicacies, this casual brasserie-style restaurant offers a traditional Thanksgiving feast with turkey and all the trimmings. Throughout November, freshly baked pies-to-go will also be available, including apple pie, pumpkin pie and pecan pie.

Main St. Deli

This American restaurant brings the New York vibe to Hong Kong via a range of authentic NYC deli favorites such as burgers and matzah balls. Head over to this homey yet chic diner for a taste of The Big Apple this Thanksgiving—a three-course meal including roasted turkey, stuffing, various side dishes, pumpkin cheesecake and pecan pie will be on offer. JW Marriot

JW Marriott will be offering Thanksgiving specials at three of its restaurants this year. Thanksgiving diners will be welcomed at JW’s California, where chef Jordi Villegas will be carving up a traditional roast turkey, as well as The Lounge, where honey-glazed ham, turkey and carrot cake will be making the rounds. Finally, Marriott Café will be serving roasted pumpkin salad, turkey with giblet gravy, honey-glazed ham and a whole lot more for lunch and dinner.
