Harakan
This stylish establishment can be found just round the corner from Inn Side Out. Tastefully decked out in blond-wood panels, rocky outcrops and oozing seduction with its warm lighting, Harakan is a cut above the average Japanese place. The service is first class and discreetly attentive and there is a pleasant Zen-like calm as you enter. It's a great place to go , not only on a cozy date but also for a sleek business meeting. The colorful deluxe assorted sushi set ($350) —10 pieces of sushi with six rolls, prime toro (oily tuna), mirugai (clam), salmon, tako (octopus), and red snapper—were deliciously moist and melted in the mouth. We tucked into one of the seasonal offerings; the rich and creamy Yosenabe, a seafood hotpot in fish milk soup ($500 for two), which was filled with chunks of fish and an array of seafood. For sake, we had 300ml of the Bishounen Ginjou ($100) and were given a tray of various ceramic cups to choose from. As far as Japanese joints go, this is about as good as it gets if you are willing to fork out for its high prices. All credit cards accepted.
