The buzz: The latest addition to the Café Deco Group, 6 Degrees gets its name from that classic idea: six degrees of separation. See old friends and meet new ones—the bar sits right in the middle of Wyndham, and it’s the perfect spot for it.
The décor: Plenty of blue mood lighting. As you step in, you’ll find the bar right in the middle of the floor, with all the usual suspects on its shelves: vodkas, bubbles and liqueurs as well as bottled and draught beers. The bar’s upper floor can be hired out for private parties.
The drinks: 6 Degrees’ signature drinks all come with names that indicate just how close a friend you are to your drinking buddies. Try “Friend of a Friend,” made of gin, vodka and kiwi liqueur, or the fiery “Aquaintance,” made with absinthe, Galliano liqueur and coconut liqueur with lemon and cherry juices and dashes of caramel syrup. Our favorite was the “Found,” which consists of blue curaçao and vodka with banana and vanilla liqueurs, topped up with Baileys and vanilla ice cream. With a smoothie-like consistency, it’s a must-try for anyone who likes their cocktails sugary-sweet. Alongside the signature drinks, you’ll find more classic cocktails: think Sex on the Beach or the Singapore Sling.
Why you’ll be back: The bar joins in on LKF’s ladies night and offers free vodka on Thursdays. It also has a small selection of bar snacks, including crispy chicken wings and mini angus beef burgers. It’s a promising new joint. Bring six friends—and see who else they know.
