When the meeting ends, some protestors lie in the road to stop Tang’s vehicle from leaving. 7 Sun Rail Walker At noon, a 31-year-old man, who is thought to be autistic, is found walking on the rail at Kowloon Tong train station. Using a computer in a public library, he wrote, “pay me $10,000, I can kill a man for you,” “I want to make a bomb to blow up Donald Tsang’s house,” and “I’m a pervert wearing thick-rimmed glasses.” The posts trigger hot debate online and get the attention of the police. He claims he has suffered from depression since becoming jobless in 2008, and wrote the messages because the librarian was rude to him while he was waiting to use the computer. 10 Wed Catch the Cat Killer About 50 cat-lovers gather in Choi Yuen Estate, a public housing estate in Sheung Shui, to urge the police and the Housing Authority to stop the “cat killer” from harming more animals in the neighborhood. The most recent victim was an adult cat who was found earlier this month with its front paws amputated. 11 Thu Lizard Trafficking In Lantau, the police bust a group trying to smuggle 180 endangered Bengal monitor lizards from Malaysia into the mainland to be eaten. The reptiles are packed in 60 foam boxes. Their estimated street value is $690,000. The 27-year-old driver is arrested. 12 Fri Superhero Stunt A 46-year-old man dresses as “The Green Hornet” and threatens to leap from a pedestrian bridge in Kwai Tsing. He claims that he used to be a bailiff’s assistant in court, but was forced into early retirement four years ago after an internal investigation claimed he was not fulfilling his duties. The stunt lasts for 10 minutes.
