 The buzz: The El Grande group did family-friendly Italian well with Grappa’s, then Italian food in a can with Spuntini, and this is their latest: high-end Italian manned by Mauro Uliassi, whose eponymous restaurant in Italy has received numerous accolades, include some star-shaped ones from the picky Michelin men.

22 Sat Turtle Power A two-foot-long turtle bites off a chef’s toe. The incident occurs while the chef is preparing the reptile for a seasonal dish in a Chinese restaurant in Sau Kei Wan. He is walking by the animal while wearing opened-toed sandals when it bites his left foot, amputating his pinkie toe. The man and his toe are sent to the hospital.
