The Pantray

The Pantray

July 3rd, 2009

The buzz: The Stonegrill’s new sister restaurant serves up classic, American comfort food in a friendly and cosy environment. And because sharing is caring, the restaurant offers most of its dishes in “party size” portions, designed for splitting between three to four people.

The food: An extensive list of American-inspired dishes are served throughout the day. The deluxe bite burgers come in a set of three, with patties made from salmon, Wagyu beef and foie gras.

The décor: The restaurant looks modern but down-to-earth. A large glass chandelier is set off by the homey chalkboard, scrawled with the restaurant’s daily specials.

The drinks: The drinks menu includes an average selection of wines and cocktails but the boozeless drinks are particularly impressive. The Lemon Dream (made with whole lemons, rind and all) tastes like a liquid version of the “Super Lemon” candy.

The crowd: The large tables and casual atmosphere makes The Pantray a good dining spot for families or large groups of friends.

Why you’ll be back: Because you can sleep in until the late afternoon on a lazy weekend and still order the all-day American breakfast at this place.
