Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
I want to play a few games of foosball (or table football for brits) with my friends on the weekend, but I can’t seem to find a table. Do you know of anywhere I can get a couple of games in?

So let me get this straight: on any given night out, you’d rather play with tiny plastic men than check out what Hong Kong’s finest nightlife has to offer? You are, sir, what I like to call a fooser! I suggest you try Lan Kwai Fong Beer Bar (G/F., California Tower, 30-32 D’Aguilar St., Central, 2521-1345), which has the added advantage of being a bar that serves, uh, beer. Or, for something a little more serious, try Skitz Sports Bar in Wan Chai (5/F, Phoenix Building, 21-25 Luard Rd., Wan Chai,2866-3277), which hosts regular tournaments for enthusiasts on Monday and Thursday evenings. Alternatively, go to The Pawn (2/F, 62 Johnston Rd., Wan Chai, 2866-3444), which has a range of pub pursuits in a laid-back, gastropub atmosphere.

Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
My dog spends eight hours at home, all alone while I’m at work. I would like to take him out for lunch and dinner as much as possible. Can you suggest some dog-friendly restaurants in Central/Sheung Wan? I know the usual suspects: Jaspas in Staunton Street and The Press Room on Hollywood Road, but are there any others we dog lovers don’t know about?

Rekindle your relationship with your poor pup over salad and smoothies in the backyard of Cafe O (61 Caine Rd., Central, 2111-3131). Or watch the world go by at canine-friendly Amante (79 Bonham Strand East, Sheung Wan, 2827-8277). Otherwise, spoil your pooch to sushi alongside the beautiful people at Dragon-i (U/G, The Centrium, 60 Wyndham St., Central, 3110-1222), which, thanks to Hong Kong’s public space law, welcomes all to enjoy its spacious outdoor terrace.
