Operated by a group of ice hockey enthusiasts, the Amateur Hockey Club aims to promote and increase accessibility to the sport in Hong Kong. The Club organizes league games regularly, most of which take placeon the ice rink at Mega Box inKowloon Bay.

The association was formed in 1989 when most shooting events were held by law-enforcement related shooting clubs. HKPSA is a non-profit making body that accepts both clubs and individuals for membership, and promotes practical shooting in Hong Kong.
